Dr. Mike McKinney and his wife, Adelle, are the President and founders of this church and ministry. As a young man newly ordained, Kathryn Kuhlman called him out of the audience of pastors at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and prophesied over him.

Years later, Dr. Morris Cerullo, World Evangelism prayed that Michael would receive the double anointing power of the Holy Spirit. Since that time, Mike and Adelle have travelled the nations of the world conducting mass evangelistic crusades in the third world. As a result of their ministry another young man was raised up in the nation of the Philippines, Bro. Eddie Villaneuva and today, the Church's Almanac states that the Jesus is Lord Church is the sixth largest in the world. At home in Covina, Dr. McKinney has recently established THE PASTORS NETWORK a fellowship for pastors of smaller and growing churches.
