The Lord began this work in February, 1997. Through an initial core of committed Christians, God has established a work near the Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. Our vision is to be a community church with the mission to reach the International students of MSU. Students from around the world have gathered in East Lansing to find answers to many of life's questions. For many it is a faith question. God has called us here to "love these people into the Kingdom of God".
We function as a cell church. We meet in homes to minister to each other in Christian love, and challenge each other to reach out in love to the lost. The cell ministry is the highest priority in our church. It is a place that people are fully trained for service; a place to love people into the Kingdom of God; a place for the greatest healing to take place; and a place where absolutely "everyone knows your name".
Ministries: > Cell Groups: Meet on Sunday morning at 10:00 AM in homes through out the community. > Celebration: A service to worship God and celebrate what God is doing through us as believers. We presently meet on Sunday nights at 6:00 PM. > Youth Cell: We recognize the need for youth to have a time separate from the regular cell life. They meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM. > Children: They are a most important part of our church. They receive teaching intergenerationally through our cell ministry, and have a special ministry time during the Celebration Service. >Training: Cell leaders and interns receive crucial training to prepare them for the leadership of God's Church. Weekly VHS meetings are held to cast Vision, break into Huddles for preparation of cell life, and learn new Skills necessary for ministry. Leadership Training also includes an "Intern Training Weekend". >Equipping: Several Equipping events are held once a year. They include: 1)a Welcome Weekend, 2)a Spiritual Formation Weekend, 3)an Outreach Training Weekend, and 4)a Spiritual Warfare Weekend.
