CHURCH WITHOUT WALLS
Church on the Way is an innovative ministry meeting in members homes in Tidewater Virginia. We are a group of Christians dedicated to reaching our communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We meet weekly to study the Scriptures and discuss ways of making the Christian Faith relevant and applicable to our daily lives. We believe that the Bible presents the authoritative relevation of God and every man, woman and child is lost without faith in Jesus Christ. We also believe that God indwells and empowers every born-again Christian through the Holy Spirit and that the Holy Spirit bestows spiritual gifts on each believer for the work of ministry and to effect the numerical and spiritual growth of the Church.
A CALL TO MINISTRY
Reverend Murray Callahan has been pioneering and pastoring churches for more than a quarter of a century. He is an ordained minister, marriage and family therapist, educator, author, and national seminar speaker. Beginning church planting in Alabama in 1965, he and wife, Dianne, have served with the Christian Missionary Alliance, Southern Baptist, Evangelical, Presbyterian and other organizations to build local congregations. Believing God has called them to a transdenominational ministry, the Callahan's have established churches throughout the United States. Church On The Way serves to build the Church of Jesus Christ through effective evangelism, nurturing spiritual growth, training and encouraging lay ministry, and Christian fellowship. We welcome those interested in learning about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, personal spiritual growth and ministry, and a vibrant Christian Community. Reverend Callahan is a graduate of Nyack College with graduate degrees from Wheaton College and Regent University. Apart from ministerial duties he currently serves as a faculty member of a seminary, consultant with the federal drug-free communities program, and church-growth consultant. Dianne is an internationally known artist and both are proud grandparents. Church On The Way invites you to discover what Jesus can do in and through your life.
