Who we are
Westwood Christian Church is located in the Northeast corner of Johnson county. Minstering to folks from KCK, KCMO, and Johnson Co. We are congregation dedicated to the spiritual growth of people. We are community where people are welcomed to come, share, and to be healed by the presence of God. As they say, "Don't talk the talk, unless you want to walk the walk." Here people are encouraged to pray for others, serve God, and support one another as they grow in faith. We invite you to come and see who we are. Come and see what God is doing.
Higher Ground Ministry
Higher Ground is youth ministry began with a vision. One person said, "I am on a mission from God" (Just like the Blues Brothers, well sorta!) Higher Ground meets at Westwood Christian Church on the second and fourth Saturday evenings at 8:00 PM. Though we might be expanding the schedule. The mission of Higher Ground is to provide a safe place for junior high age people and to help them see where God is at work in their lives. Come meet others your age, and come and see where God is touching your life.
