A Thought from Pastor Corbett: "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly, there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues, like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. The Holy Spirit from Genesis to Revelations Many of us are unaware of, or do not understand that the Holy Spirit has been with us, on the earth from the very first days of creation. The Holy Spirit did not come into existence on the earth on the day of Pentecost, rather, it manifested itself on that day. We can trace the Holy Spirit's work from before the creation of man, where we find in the book of Genesis, Chap. 2, verse 7, we find find these words, "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life." The special work of the Holy Spirit in creation, is to lead creation to it's destiny which the Glory of God. In other words, the special work of the Holy Spirit is to sustain and mature life, and bring order and beauty into the universe thru mankind. Let us take up the following points: Genesis 1:2, says " And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the waters." God, at that time, was preparing to bring beauty and order into the universe. In this "WORLD full of TROUBLE", we need to take time to call out on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that He bring order and beauty into our lives, through the Holy Ghost. Only Trust HIM!!!....just now. Dear reader, won't you let Jesus come into your life. He is able to bring your life around to the most full, enjoyable, organized life ever imagined. We will find that the Holy Spirit plays an important part in every facet of the formulation of the redemptive plan of God for mankind. We can trace it from the book of 1st Peter 1:10-12, MAtthews 1:20, Luke 1:3, in the immaculate conception with the Virgin becoming pregnant with the baby Jesus. Everywhere we look in the bible, the reference to the Holy Spirit can be found! I pray that you will accept the Lord Jesus , and if you have accepted Him, then that the Holy Spirit will come into your life more and more...each day. God Bless you Dr. David D. Corbett, Sr.
