What We Believe
The Brethren have no written creed. Instead, we base our faith and life on the Bible, God's inspired written Word for men and women today (2 Peter 1:21) .
We do share these beliefs in common:
1. God, who is Creator and Lord, has personal interst in each of us (2 Peter 3:9)
2. Man has rebelled against God. Taking his own way, he has fallen into troubles and sin. He cannot make himself good or earn God's approval. (Titus 3:5; Isaiah 64:6)
3. God cares for us and has an exciting plan for our lives. (John 3:16; 10:10; 15:11)
4. Our rebellion seperates us from God, so we cannot enjoy His love or know His plan for our lives. (Romans 3:23; 6:23)
5. Jesus Christ came to earth to bring us back to God. Through His death and ressurection, He brought a cure for our sin. (Romans 5:8)
6. To enjoy God's love and know His plan, we must personally recieve Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. (John 1:12)
7. Jesus will personally and visibly return from Heaven
8. The Holy Spirit indwells the believer and is his Comforter and Guide. (John 14:16-17)
9. The church is God's vehicle of ministry today. (Hebrews 10:25)
BYIC
Our youth is at a pretty low point.. but we don't let it get us down! Here we are: Shannon Logan, Jonathan Nies, Candace Nies, Megan and Courtney Manley, Michelle Wilt, and Amanda Jordan. We meet every Sunday night at 6pm until 7:30pm. Join us! We have been having some FUNd-raisers for Jonathan and Shannon to go to National BYIC Convention in Indiana August 4-8, 1997.
