Our Mission
The mission of Walnut Springs Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is to proclaim and share the Good News of Jesus Christ; to know Christ through the presence of his Spirit in our study of the Scriptures, in our weekly communion together around his Table; and in all aspects of our life of faith as individuals and community; and to demonstrate God's love for all persons through our witness and service offered in Christ's name.
About Us
Thank you for visiting us! We invite you to visit in person when you are in the northern Shenandoah Valley. Walnut Springs Christian Church is a rural community congregation, located near Strasburg, Virginia, offering a friendly and caring church family. Although our congregation is over 170 years old, we are a growing and vital community of faith. Active ministries in our congregation include Church School for all ages, a growing and active youth program and choir, a Christian Women's Fellowship and Christian Men's Fellowship, and small group Bible studies. All of these ministries help to nuture and encourage the spiritual growth of our members. We understand our mission and outreach endeavors to begin at our doorstep and extend to the world, whether by our supportive participation in our local food pantry or through our responding finanically to the needs of persons in disaster-torn areas unknown to us. It is our desire to make God's love real to all.
