First Baptist Church of Brodhead, KY is in Voluntary Cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Rockcastle Association of Baptists.

Youth Meetings for Grades 5 - 8 meet at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday Evenings
Please Note that we have 2 Youth Groups that meet. Grades 9 and Up and Youth Grades 5 - 8. Both meet at 6:00 p.m.

"CELEBRATE JESUS 2000 CRUSADE" With Evangelist TOBY FROST from the North American Mission Board in Atlanta GA. May 14 - 19, 2000. Services will start at 7:00 p.m. each evening.. This is a County Wide Crusade covering all of Rockcastle County. It is sponsored by the 22 Sounthern Baptist Church in Rockcastle County. We would like to invite all of our County Churches to help us in this endeavor. Our Pastor - Bro. Whicker is the Crusade Committee Chairman. Remember this Crusade in your prayers.

Our Church will be doing a Salute to the Men and Women of the Armed Forces of the United State of America. Come and Join us as we Proudly Wave the Flag of Freedom....
We will be asking God that He Rekindle The Flame within each of us.
At 3:00 p.m. we will have our Church Wide GOD AND COUNTRY DAY PICNIC at the Community Park in Stanford, KY. We will be eating at 5:00 p.m. It will be our Churches way of saying Thank God for America and the Men and Women who have Fought to Keep Her Free.
Our Sunday Morning Bible Study starts at 10:00 a.m. We have dedicated Leaders for all ages. Our Children's Bible Study Time is a most exciting place to be. The Youth enjoy the challenge of Bible Study and Lively Discussion. Our Adult Bible Studies are very Informal and Questions are encouraged. Won't you join us this coming Sunday...
Our Sunday Morning Worship Service starts at 11:00 a.m. It's our desire to keep the Service Vibrant and Revelent to all who attend. Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow....
Our Music takes the Best of Both sides of the Christian Music World. Our folks still Love to sing the Old Hymns of the Faith as well as Praise and Worship Choruses.
Our Pastor - Bro. Mark Whicker - leads us through God's Word. His preaching is Simple - yet reaches the depth of your soul.
Our Youth Program is the Fastest Growing thing we have. Mike and Hilary Taylor lead our Youth, and boy do they have fun. Our Youth is divided into two different programs. There is the one for Grades 5 - 8, and the other is for Grades 9 and Up... They have several times taken the whole service and Blessed our Hearts through Song, Drama, and Preaching God's Word.
Sunday Evening finds our folks gathered again, ready for the Blessing of God. Every 5th Sunday Night we have a Song and Praise Service. Our Folks Love it so much, they don't want to leave.
Wednesday night is Family Night. The Adult's gather with Bro. Mark for a very Informal Bible Study. The Kid's enjoy their own programs. We have Mission Friends for the Little One's - up to age 6. We have a program called Royal Ambassadors for the Boys age 6 and Up. We have the Girls In Action - for Girls ages 6 and Up. Our Teenage Girls are involved in Acteens.
The purpose of these Kid's Programs is to teach them that God's Work is carried out in many different ministries. And that they can be a part of His Work - today.
Our Women of the church meet once a month in what we call Woman on Mission. They meet and Pray for the needs of our Church, Community and our Missionaries.
We have a Sr. Adult group we call the J.O.Y. Group. That stands for Just Older Youth. They enjoy their travels together. Once a month they get together and head down the road for some Fun and Fellowship. They would love to have you come along
