Greetings in the Name of the All Holy Trinity! and welcome to my I'm Fr. Gregory Jensen, an Orthodox Christian missionary priest serving in Redding, CA (about 160 miles north of Sacramento). About Our Parish Family
Our parish is a mission parish of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. Our bishop is His Grace Bishop ANTHONY of San Francisco. Our congregation is composed of people from Greek, Middle Eastern, Russian and Eastern European backgrounds. In addition, there are many who converted to Orthodoxy from the Roman Catholic, Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist, Evangelical Christian and Mormon traditions.
Sunday services are Orthos (Matins): 9:00 AM, Divine Liturgy 10:00 AM at the Native Daughtersof the Golden West Hall at 2322 California Street in Redding.
Church School for the children ages 6-10 meets during Orthros.
Wednesday during Great Lent we celebrate the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at 7:30 PM at St. Luke's Traditional Episcopal Church, 1750 Canby Road in Redding.
Confession is heard before Services or by appointment.
All services are conducted primarily in English. In fidelity to the history of the Orthodox Church and her many people, however, we also use Greek, Arabic and Slavonic in our services.
