An Exciting Rural Church
Born as a result of a school-house revival in the winter of 1901, Zion Free Methodist Church has maintained uninterrupted worship and witness on the same site since October of that year. There is a comfortable sanctuary, a relevant ministry and a caring community. All ages are represented in the congregation. The pastor preaches from the Bible messages that are real, relevant, relational and rousing. The singing is a blend of traditional hymns and the newer worship songs. Our Teen Ministries are exciting and up-to-date. As John Wesley, the founder of Methodism stated, "Our parish is the world." Following a year of careful studies and research, we restructured our Official Board and now operate with an elected board of nine members plus two non-voting members (the pastor and the treasurer) who elect their own lay chairman. Three new members are elected annually on a three-year rotation.

Zion operates on the foundation of the Bible, according to generally accepted Free Methodist principles, following an approved and annually updated Three-Year Ministry Plan. Any visitor to this website may request a free copy of our current Ministry Plan.
