Our Core Vision
We, as FAITH COMMUNITY BIBLE CHURCH, unite together as a community of believers located in Greater Madison. We confess, by faith and God's grace, Jesus Christ as our Risen Lord and Savior. We glorify Him and further His Kingdom work. We seek to know and obey His will and Word. We worship Him corporately and individually with our lives. We let God equip us and reveal His gifts to us. We use those gifts under the power and leading of the Holy Spirit to serve Christ and others in love. We thereby proclaim Him as Savior and Lord to the university, to Greater Madison, and to the rest of the World.
An Invitation to Experience Our Life Together
House groups have been a prominent and distinctive feature of life at FCBC since the early 1980's. Over the years aspects of their form and substance have varied. Yet continuously since then people have met together in small gatherings to support and encourage one another on their Christian walk. The number, size and membership of groups have also varied over the years. In large part because we minister to a transient University community, people have continually stepped in and out of both leadership and membership. Nevertheless amidst the change God has protected and provided a sense of continuity, identity and care.
House Groups within FCBC exist to help each believer actively participate in the growth of God's Kingdom on Earth. House Groups, more specifically, provide a place to nurture and exercise our priorities individually and corporately. These core priorities include:Prayer - Listening to and speaking to God in intercession, supplication, confession, adoration and more.
Worship - Proclaiming God as worthy through our word and deed, song and dance, prayer and proclamation.
Building - Growth in Christ through teaching, preaching, discipling and spiritually serving one another.
Sending - Work, witness and ministry to the world, locally and internationally, directly and indirectly.
