Reconciliation & Counselling - Prayer & Good Work

The Society offers help advice and counselling to priests and laity who feel distanced from the church of their upbringing. This is particularly so in the case of Roman Catholic priests unable to reconcile enforced celibacy with their personal feelings and for laity troubled over the hard line teachings on divorce and remarriage and artificial birth control .
The Society particularly wishes to hear from members of the Anglican communion who are experiencing difficulties in accepting female ordination or who feel that the Anglican church has turned away from traditional standards and away from the path of possible unity within western Catholicism. SJCK membership and support is open to people of any Christian denomination and from any walk of life. The Society offers monthly prayer lists where we all try to pray together world-wide on the same themes at the same time and Bible readings for each day. Members are expected to show their Christianity through love for others especially in care for the poor and disadvantaged in our society - feeding the hungry and caring for the sick and troubled. SJCK members give freely of their skills and talents in the service of others and thus in the service of Christ the King.
