Our Purpose
To preach the good news to the poor, to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound.
The Vision: Joel's Place
God has put it on our heart to open a Youth Outreach Centre "Joel's Place" where He can pour His Spirit out on the community of Sooke. The purpose of Joel's Place is to "...turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers..." (Mal. 4:6) in order that we might see the blessings of God in our community. We want to give the youth of Sooke a place where they are welcomed for who they are. A place of support, love and acceptance, where they will be given the tools to make the right life choices and contribute to their community. In faith, after much prayer, and seeking the Lord's will, we made an offer to purchase a building to house Joel's Place and River of Love Christian Ministries.
