A Little about us:
The Third Baptist Church is associated with the American Baptist Churches, USA and of Vermont and New Hampshire. The Church has an active Sunday School with classes for all ages, and adult and youth choir, a youth group, Christian Service Circle and men's fellowship. The Church meets for Praise and Prayer on Wednesdays at 7 PM and holds various bible studies. The church also holds Vacation Bible School, maintains a Food Pantry and publishes a newsletter.
What we believe
Because American Baptist are not a "creedal" people, there is no agreed upon summary of doctrines and practices that govern our lives. Nevertheless we do agree to the following topics: God as Creator; Jesus Christ as the Son of God; The Holy Spirit as the Third person of the Trinty; The Bible as the inspired Word of God; Believer's Baptist by immersion; The Lord's Supper is open to those who believe and accept Jesus Christ as Savior; The human condition: Mankind is a sinner in need of salvation, and redemption should be the purpose, place and mission of the church. The role of the laity...to use gifts as given; The role of the minister...as Shepherd; A strong committment in support of the American Baptist Churches, USA
