Parish Background
Yoker is an inner-city area on the western edge of Glasgow. Formerly, it was known for its shipbuilding and manufacturing: now employment is scarce and income levels are low. It has an ageing population, offset slightly by a new influx of younger couples on their way up the social ladder. The Parish is served by two Church of Scotland congregations, sharing a minister but distinctive in many ways.
Our Mission Statement
TO LOVE others as God loves us and to reflect Him in our community. TO GROW in God and to enable others to know Him for themselves. TO PRAY that we might follow God's lead and move with Him. TO PROVIDE a place where folk can meet, play, chat, pray and find peace with God.
