REGAN Church was founded in 1783. It shares in the earliest history of American Methodism. It was originally used as a campground meeting place. The deed for the present day site is dated June 23, 1847 between Neil Regan and Eli Regan and the trustees of the church. William Glover, ordained by Francis Asbury in 1803, witnessed the deed. Francis Asbury recorded in his journal that he preached at "Riggins Chapel" on February 3, 1803. We celebrate this wonderful heritage. The structure of the 1847 deed lasted until 1890, when the present building was constructed. A new addition was added in 1970 with periodical improvements being made on the structure.
