Our Vision Statement: Equip | Empower | Connect
Equipping, Empowering and Connecting generations into a full life in Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-13 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
John 10:10 (Jesus said) ... I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Matthew 28:18-20 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
What does this Vision looks like, for us as a church and as individuals?
Our mission is to be a word and love-centered ministry designed to evangelize the lost, equip and empower the people of God, who connects to the community as well as the world. Christ is exalted and the Word of God is explained as we endeavor to provide holistic support and services. We are multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and a multi-purpose ministry impacting the wounded with the love of Jesus Christ. We are committed to the spirit of excellence, as we are striving to become a sanctuary of hope within the Harrisonburg community and nation by promoting and providing education, empowerment, as well as financial independence. We are a tithing, giving Church where its members give willingly, cheerfully, generously, and sacrificially to the work of God. We embrace freedom in worship because the Word of God declares, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.” (II Corinthians 3:17) Our foundation is the Word of God and we believe it in its entirety.
