The Standards of Net Ministries

Net Ministries Home Page

Here at Net Ministries we have the difficult task of maintaining a directory we believe to be both inclusive and faithful. If you review our site you see we include dozens of denominations. While our selection of those included may not be perfect, we seek to be broad yet true to the Bible and the historic standards of the Christian faith. In doing so, we ask those who have their churches or organizations included in this directory acknowledge that their beliefs are consistent with the Apostles' Creed. Ultimately, we try to screen churches/organizations for their beliefs ensuring they are faithful to Biblical truths as best we can.

Some of you may be interested in knowing our reasons for non-inclusion in our directories. Some reasons include:

  • Denominations/churches accepting more than is strictly Christian in terms of traditional Biblical standards. An example, from our perspective, would be the Unitarian Universalists.
  • By traditional Christian standards, some denominations/churches are considered heretical or cults. Some of these, we believe, would include Mormon (Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints), and Jehovah's Witnesses.
  • Reasons for excluding others include their acceptance of Biblically defined sin as acceptable practice for church leaders. Church leaders, by example, can lead others astray. The Bible is very clear about the moral and ethical standards of church leaders.

We hope reading this standards page has been helpful. Moreover, we trust you have a better understanding of our denominational/church selection policy. To be good stewards of Net Ministries, as a statement of policy, we must reserve the right to exclude any application without cause.
