Mission Statement

Our mission is to become what God has intended us to be disciples of Christ. We will rise to all occasions through jesus Christ our Lord. We are his disciples and we are in the disciple making business. We are concern with people needing a doctor, and not knowing how to receive their deliverance. He came to set the captives free; our mission is to lead them to Him. Pray, seek God's will, and it shall be done. Remember be blessed, be blessed and know that God is in charge.

Methodology: Reaching, Teaching & Evangelizing

REACHING: The Christian Education Dept has established programs to reach the community and surrounding areas: newsletters, flyers, and a telephone ministry. TEACHING: The ministerial dept combined with the Christian Education Dept are using the Bible Study, Sunday School Dept and other various means within the AME Zion structure to educate others on Zion and Christ like behavior. EVANGELIZING: 1. Build a caring relationship with nonchurch going people. 2. have church sponsored nonreligious events ie. sports, after school programs, community assistance. 3. Mail brochures about the church to people homes to inform and invite them to attend Sharpsburg AME Zion Church
