Description of Program & Introduction

In keeping with the standards of professional education in theology, the theological program of Saint Columba Institute offers a first professional degree in theology designed for individuals who wish to seek priesthood or ministry within the Orthodox Catholic Church of America (Western Rites Vicariate-Celtic, Sarum, or Gallican Rites) or other Independent Orthodox/Catholic jurisdictions. Candidates from jurisdictions other than the Orthodox Catholic Church of America (Western Rites Vicariate-Celtic, Sarum or Gallican Rites) must have their local bishop's approval before registering with the institute. Under the direction of the Orthodox Catholic Church of America (Western Rites Vicariate-Celtic, Sarum, or Gallican Rites). Do you feel the call of the Lord to minister to His people as a Pastor, Christian Educator or a Pastoral Counselor? Do you wish to pursue a Seminary Education in Biblical Studies, Theology, Biblical Counseling, Pastoral Counseling, Christian Education, or Ministry? Do you wish to find a Seminary that offers Top Quality Education, Low, Affordable Tuition Fees and allows Study at your own pace? Do you have an education in ministry, Biblical studies or theology and feel the call to be ordained. If you have answered yeas to any of these questions, you deserve the Seminary education that SCI would like to offer you. You will find our courses challenging, yet fair. You will study the works of great Christian authors both historical and contemporary. SCI wants to help you grow in your relationship with God, your knowledge of Scripture and Theology and provide you with the opportunity to serve God in your chosen field of ministry. Most of all, our studies and philosophy are governed by the Holy Spirit. We encourage our students to open themselves of the guidance and filling of the Holy Spirit in their lives to go out into the world to preach the Gospel of Jesus.

Degrees Awarded

The Associate of Divinty (A.Div.) degree is a foundational professional degree awarded to seminarians prior to ordination to the priesthood. Its purpose is to give the requisite training for the practice of the ministry for those who do not already posses an associate's degree, or equivalent, from a regionally accredited college or seminary.
