Outreach Ministry - ONE CHURCH ONE SCHOOL

One Church One School wss founded in 1992, by Rev. Henry M. Williamson, Sr.
OCOS seeks to establish church/school partnerships that postively impact
the academic achievement, social behavior and personal development of our children
and youth. OCOS Teaches the Value of Life and the Value of Learning
Currently, OCOS operates in 20 states and 43 cities. In Gary, Indiana
every school is partnered with a chuurch. OCOS wass the catalyst for
for the Chicago Public Schools Interfaith Partnership Program.
October 15,16, 1998 One Church One School will hold its 4th Annual Midwest
Regional Conference. Over 500 were in attendance last year. The purpose of the
conference is to motivate more churches and schools to form partnerships and to
reinforce existing partnerships.
Carter Temple CME Church is the OCOS National Headquarters

Ministries

Carter Temple has 3,000 members and over 60 Ministries. The focus of the ministries is families:
Boys to Men, Project Essence(girls and women) More Like Christ (5:00 PM Every Saturday - Feeding and Clothing) African American Male Emphasis Sunday (Every 3rd Sunday) Couples Ministry Young Adult Ministry Children's Church Carter Temple is the Friendly Church on the Corner, Reaching and Teasching for Jesus Christ.
