History of the Church of God In Christ

During the first decade of the 20th century, Bishop Charles Harrison Mason, a prophet of God and founder of the Church of God In Christ, International, began to reveal his God-given vision. He expersses a great faith in the New Testament teachings of santification, the Sprit-filled life, as essential to God's present day plan for man's salvation. The initial Movement of the Church of God In Christ had it's beginning in Lexington, Mississippi and surrounding towns. His preaching was met with great hostility because of the social and religious changes envisioned. But it did not discourage him or prevent the rapid expansion of the church which now embraces millions of communicants throughout the world.

Church Purpose

The Adelanto Church of God In Christ, is a Careing and Sharing Church. We are a church that believes in ministry to the total man and woman. Our goal is to win the lost, at any cost, through pentencost.
