The Pastorate continues the tradition of Christian Catholic Community Church ministry established in the Province of Ontario by Bishop J. René Vilatte in 1900. The centre, located on St. Joseph Island, Algoma County, was dedicated to OUR LADY OF THE LAKE. The Rev. Claude Reader of the Society of the Precious Blood was priest in charge.
