Here is a comment made by Maureen McNamara of NewCreations Web Design whose art was being used by a netministries page, indicating the kind of reaction you may expect from those whose art you are accessing.
You need to understand that the way you have your page set up now, the images that you are using from my collection are being loaded from my computer. This is not a good thing. I don't mind terribly, because you are my brothers and sisters in the Lord, and I know that you are just learning, but you need to understand that if you were to do this to a non-christian it would be viewed very badly, kind of like stealing computer time. (not a great witness!)Also, if your page were really high volume (lots and lots of visitors) you would be costing me a lot of money. People have lost the ability to keep their web sites this way.
As Christians, we need to present a good witness on the web, it's just like going into a new culture as a missionary - don't offend the natives!
Here is what you need to do:
If you have Netscape, position your cursor over the image you want to use, click on the image with your right mouse button, select "save as", save the image to your own hard drive. Then upload it to your own directory on your server. Then link to it from there.
If this isn't helpful, I would recommend that you ask webmaster@netministries.org for help. They may have special instructions for your server.
