Church Building Repair

A letter of appeal to the church members.

The building committee has advised the church board of more than 20 separate, significant jobs that require attention. If left as they now are, these items will eventuate in further deterioration and inconvenience.  If repairs are addressed as funds come in, it will save greater expense in time to come.  We have the capacity in resources and some volunteer labour to effect necessary work.

As members today we are the beneficiaries of the labours of those who have worked and given in previous times.  Each week, we use what was provided years ago.   These facilities are the product of effort made in earlier times.  Time has moved on and now we are the stewards of the property.  Receiving the heritage of the Church, we receive also a responsibility.

The Church building was established here in the 1950s, with the hall being added about 20 years ago.  Much of our giving goes outside our local church - now it is time for Hughesdale to benefit.  We appeal to the liberality of each member, this financial need will be brought to the church until we are enabled to do the work.

"Neither will I offer..... unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing."   2 Samuel 24:24
